“When you are doing something neat, and you’re doing it with neat people, and there is that convergence, something amazing will happen”.
~
Rony Abovitz
We all want to work on something neat with neat people, don’t we?
Some people put their heads down, fly solo and do as little collaboration as possible. Just occasionally that might be the right approach, based on the specific circumstances, but in my experience, this mostly ends in a poorer end result because of that.
However, the “power of convergence” is a great thing and can bring about truly amazing results. After all we all want to do amazing things.
But what do we mean by convergence, well it can be the melting pot for ideas, it can be about the bringing together of people, it can be many things.
The more we engage with others, even challenge each other, to form new ideas and approaches, the better it can be from the end result through to the process of actually getting there.
The more minds we can connect and apply to a challenge, the more likely you will arrive at a better destination. This is exactly the approach we adopted when I was working in the UK Prime Minister’s Office, where we brought together the sharpest minds and those with the relevant experience related to the topic to plot the way forward. Strength derived from the many, rather than the few. The solution was always stronger, always enhanced, always well thought out, when approached through collaboration.
The “power of convergence” is something we, at Manara Global, believe is always essential to deliver the right set of options, at the right time, to achieve the right results.
We are always excited about working with clients and others to broaden horizons to solve a problem, a challenge, or just coming up with a different approach.
As an independent consultancy, we can act more bravely and be free to bring about the best people irrespective of background, location, or employer. To put it bluntly, we focus on harnessing the right minds, to make the right connections with great ideas and possibilities. We are even brave enough to work with our so called competitors. We see strength from collaboration.
Our view of the future is by best supporting our clients by actually be bold enough and confident to share our ideas and best practice. Clients will feel the benefit, our industry will experience the benefit, and creativity overall wins. We do need so much more creativity in this world, to be inspired, to feel inspired and deliver inspired work.
So we started at the point of Rony’s quote of working with neat people on neat work and at Manara Global we couldn’t agree more. Let’s focus more on making amazing things happen everyday, lets adopt the power of convergence. At Manara Global, we do just that and we love everyday!
